    Cider

Enter a diverse and delightful world of fermented fruit beverages to a growing audience

The global cider market is a rapidly growing segment within the alcoholic beverages industry. This growth is driven by increasing consumer demand for natural, lower-alcohol, and sugar-reduced options. Cider appeals to a wide range of demographics and has a strong presence in traditional markets such as the UK, Ireland, and France. Its popularity is also expanding in North America, the Asia-Pacific region, and Eastern Europe. The market offers a wide selection of flavours, from traditional apple and pear to innovative blends that incorporate berries, spices, and exotic fruits. Growth in the cider market is fuelled by rising health consciousness, premiumisation trends, and the increasing availability of craft and artisanal ciders, making it a competitive and diverse market.

    Why flavoured cider exists.

The allure of sweeter fruit ciders and the ongoing influx of exotic flavours continue to captivate consumers, serving as enticing entry points. Despite a substantial number of enthusiasts embracing flavoured and fruit-infused ciders, overall expenditure and volume remain relatively modest. A decade since the introduction of the dark berry cider sub-category, it has exhibited remarkable growth, stabilising at around one-third of the entire cider market. While opportunities for overall growth in flavoured ciders are limited, the dark berry variant maintains a significant share within the segment. Currently, there are no apparent indications of a singular flavour profile emerging as a major hit among cider enthusiasts.

Our mission is to understand the newest category and market developments, as well as flavour trends, to deliver value to our partners. Understanding target markets, sales strategies, and sales channels to identify opportunities is fundamental. However, the flavour possibilities are endless.

Product offering - Innovating Cider flavours

Highly skilled flavourists can help you introduce just the right product for your markets. To us, aroma is not just another cider ingredient; it’s an experience. We are on a mission to develop and market new taste experiences for consumers. Our flavourists are equipped with a vast taste toolbox filled with extracts, distillates, and beverage-approved flavouring substances to create the most unique flavour profiles. We craft exclusive and bespoke cider flavours that replicate and match existing tastes, while constantly experimenting with new taste sensations. This ensures that each sip is not just refreshing but also a discovery for the palate.

    Apple Cider

The most traditional form is made from freshly pressed apples without fermentation. Apple Cider’s journey from orchard to bottle mirrors the longstanding traditions of cider-making, with a focus on preserving the integrity of the fruit. Whether enjoyed on its own or as a versatile base for other creations, Apple Cider offers a crisp, clean canvas that speaks to the heart of cider enthusiasts and those seeking a taste of pure, orchard-derived refreshment.

    Perry Cider

Similar to apple cider but made from pears. Crafted with the same artistry and attention to detail as apple cider, Perry undergoes a fermentation process that transforms the natural sugars in pears into a crisp and vibrant beverage. The result is a drink that captures the essence of ripe pears, often delivering a slightly sweeter and more delicate profile compared to apple cider.

    Organic Cider

Made from organically grown apples, following strict organic farming practices. Organic Cider, beyond being a drink, embodies a philosophy—a celebration of harmonious coexistence with nature and a flavorful testament to the potential of conscientious cider-making. Sip by sip, it invites you to embrace the organic journey. Organic ciders are typically 95:5 flavoured.

Sugar reduced or no added sugar cider

Sugar-reduced or no-added-sugar cider is a type of cider crafted to have lower sugar content compared to traditional ciders. In sugar-reduced versions, some of the natural sugars from apples are either minimized during production or fermented out, resulting in a less sweet beverage. No-added-sugar ciders, on the other hand, contain no additional sugars or sweeteners beyond those naturally present in the apples.

    Non/Low-alcoholic Cider

Fermented to produce a cider taste but with minimal or no alcohol content. Non-alcoholic Cider, a delightful counterpart to its spirited kin, is a testament to the art of crafting a cider experience without the buzz. This unique beverage is carefully fermented to capture the essence of traditional cider flavors while maintaining minimal or no alcohol content, providing a refreshing and inclusive option for a diverse audience.

    Craft Cider

Produced by small, independent cideries, often emphasizing quality and traditional methods.

    Hard Cider

Hard ciders have gained popularity in recent years as a gluten-free and lower-calorie alternative to beer. In addition to being enjoyed on their own, ciders can also be used as a base for cocktails. They pair exceptionally well with dark spirits such as bourbon, rum, ginger beer, or other mixers for a refreshing and flavourful drink. Hard cider offers an opportunity to diversify into the dynamic flavored alcoholic beverages (FABs) category, exploring the creation of alcoholic sparkling waters and ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktails crafted from cider.
