Flavourings are usually created from a variety of different ingredients including flavouring substances, preparations, essential oil, extracts, food additives, carriers, and other food stuffs to achieve the desired flavour with the wanted sensorial and technological properties.

To ensure a consistent quality and supply of raw material the geographical origin of the flavouring ingredients may vary due to limited availability, costs and quality (natural disasters, limited crop production, political upheavals).

As stated in Regulation (EU) no. 952/2013 art. 60 (2) the country of origin of a product is the country where the last essential manufacture of the product is performed.

Mixing of ingredients is considered an essential manufacture and therefore flavours and compounds produced by Einar Willumsen have origin in Denmark or Sweden.
