Chocolate at a glance

Unleash the Power of Chocolate.

Ever wondered how your favourite chocolate bar gets its zing? Imagine chocolate as a smooth canvas, ready for a dash of creativity. Flavouring chocolate is like playing the role of a culinary Picasso, where a sprinkle of sea salt or a splash of bourbon can transform a humble cocoa bean into a masterpiece. Whether you’re a fan of fiery chili-infused dark chocolate or a sucker for lavender-kissed white chocolate, the world of chocolate flavouring is an adventurous romp through a taste bud wonderland.

Working with flavours in chocolate products involves several key steps to ensure that the desired flavours are effectively infused and balanced with the inherent taste of the chocolate. On top of the existing chocolate base, depending on quality and type (e.g., dark, milk, or white chocolate), flavourings can be added. Typical flavourings can include natural extracts such as vanilla or mint, essential oils like orange and lavender, spices (e.g., cinnamon, chili), liqueur flavourings, and more. We work with a wide range of chocolate applications. Whether it’s a chocolate dragee, a chocolate bar, a truffle, a ganache, or a velvet ripple sauce used in an ice cream product—whatever type of product you can think of, we can create it.

Our premium range of flavourings offers complementary nuances to the flavour profile of various chocolate products.

Product offering

We offer a wide selection of both inherent chocolate flavours as well as flavours that complement the flavour profile of chocolate products. Whether you wish to introduce a chocolate ice cream product or simply a chocolate bar, our highly skilled flavourists and application specialists can help you create just the right product for your market.

Chocolate bars

We work with flavouring chocolate bars to achieve the taste of either white chocolate, milk chocolate, or dark chocolate. The process involves understanding the characteristics of each type and how to mimic their flavours. Each chocolate type has a very defined character; for example, dark chocolate is made from cocoa solids, cocoa butter, and sugar, with little to no milk.

Chocolate tablets

Chocolate tablets often have added flavours like vanilla, seasalt, almond, mint, or citrus flavours. These flavours can enhance the overall flavour of the chocolate.

Chocolate coating

Chocolate coating is a popular technique used in the confectionery and baking industries to create a rich, flavorful, and visually appealing outer layer for various treats. The chocolate coating may consist of a mix of chocolate flavours and sometimes spicy flavours like chili or Sichuan pepper.

Chocolate filling

Flavouring chocolate fillings involves several techniques to infuse various flavours into the chocolate. This may include inherent chocolate notes that complement the outer layers or other vibrant flavours that add a refreshing element to the overall experience.

Chocolate powder

Used e.g. for covering chocolate products or as hot chocolate powder mixes.

Icecream

Adding chocolate flavours can boost the intensity of inherent chocolate flavour in ice cream or introduce new flavour notes that create a darker, richer, or more complex overall flavour profile.

Ripple sauce

Ripple sauces are swirled or streaked patterns of sauce that are mixed into or layered on top of the ice cream, creating a visually appealing and flavourful experience.

Chocolate liquer

Chocolate-flavored liqueurs are delicious, indulgent spirits that blend the rich taste of chocolate with various alcohol bases.

Types of Sweet Energy Drink Flavours

Chocolate flavour, milk chocolate type

Lemon zest

Lemon zest, with its fresh and tangy essence, adds a vibrant dimension to chocolate's deep flavors. The zesty notes cut through the sweetness, offering a refreshing contrast

Chocolate flavour, dark chocolate type

Dark, rich powdery and dry.

Mango

When paired with chocolate, mango’s juicy sweetness and vibrant tropical notes create a delightful contrast to chocolate’s rich, velvety texture. The natural acidity of mango enhances the depth of dark chocolate, while its creamy sweetness perfectly complements milk and white chocolate

Chocolate flavour, Nougat type

Nutty, roasted, sweet, dry, creamy

Yuzu

With its bright, tangy notes reminiscent of lemon, lime, and grapefruit, yuzu brings a zesty elegance that brilliantly complements the rich, velvety depths of chocolate

Mint

Mint, with its cool, invigorating freshness, creates a delightful contrast to the rich, smooth flavour of chocolate. This classic combination brings a refreshing lift to chocolate's flavour profile balancing sweetness with a crisp, clean finish.

Soft-drink-flavours-mint

Sweet, honey-like chocolate flavour

Chilli

Chili's spicy kick perfectly complements the rich, smooth texture of chocolate, creating a dynamic flavor experience that excites the palate

Vanilla

Vanilla, with its warm, sweet aroma and subtle floral notes, is the perfect companion to chocolate's rich, fullbodied flavor

Coconut

Creamy, nutty and sweet. Coconut as a flavour works well both on its own but also combined with especially citrusy flavours to strike a perfect balance between sweetness, creaminess and tartness.

Cherry blossom

Whether in a dark chocolate truffle or a creamy white chocolate bar, the infusion of cherry blossom offers a delightful twist that captivates the senses and transforms each bite into a floral symphony of taste.

Coffee

Coffee, with its robust and aromatic profile, creates a fine balance and harmony when paired with chocolate. The deep, rich notes of coffee enhance chocolate's natural complexity, adding a layer of depth and intensity that elevates the overall flavor experience.

Raspberry

Sweet, tart and fresh - Strawberries are widely loved and used. Their hint of tartness adds a refreshing and slightly tangy element to chocolate's flavour profile.

Cherry

Rich, juicy and aromatic – Cherries are primarily used in desserts, pies and chocolate. The tartness of the cherry contrasts beautifully with the rich, creamy sweetness of chocolate, creating a balanced flavour profile.
