    Scandinavian mulled wine

Glögg - a traditional Scandinavian spiced wine that is typically served warm during the winter months.

Glögg – a mixture of red wine, sugar, and various spices such as cinnamon, cloves, and cardamom. Some recipes may include additional ingredients like almonds, raisins, or orange zest. It is typically served in small cups with a few raisins and slivered almonds floating on top, often accompanied by gingerbread cookies or other holiday treats.

Glögg offers a comforting and nostalgic experience, making it a seasonal favorite. Whether enjoyed at a holiday market or at home by the fire, mulled wine is the ultimate indulgence that adds warmth and cheer to any winter occasion. As the “Sober Curious” movement has manifested as a trend, non-alcoholic alternatives maintain their appeal and popularity during Christmas. According to Mintel, low-alcohol launches have increased from 3% of total alcohol launches to 5% over the past five years as brands seek to appeal to consumers who are reducing their alcohol intake.

    Innovating Glögg flavours

The production of glögg flavours involves a meticulous process that combines traditional Nordic techniques with creative innovation. Our highly skilled flavourists can assist you in introducing the perfect product for your markets. To us, glögg aroma and flavours are an essential part of our Nordic heritage. We are committed to developing and marketing new taste experiences for consumers. Our flavourists utilize a wide range of flavours to create unique flavour profiles. We create exclusive Glögg flavours that replicate and match existing tastes while also experimenting with new taste sensations.

    Red Glögg

The traditional and most common type of Glögg with red wine, brandy, spices (such as cinnamon, cloves, and cardamom), and sometimes citrus fruits, raisins, and almonds.

    White Glögg

White Glögg is made using white wine as a base and typically includes spices such as vanilla and cardamom. It’s also sometimes made with almonds, raisins, and citrus fruits.

    Mulled Cider Glögg

Mulled cider glögg is a delightful fusion of traditional Nordic glögg and warm spiced cider. Instead of using red wine, this variation starts with apple cider, which is heated and infused with spices like cinnamon, cloves, and cardamom.

    Berry Glögg

Berry glögg is a variation of the traditional Scandinavian glögg, featuring a blend of berries such as lingonberries, cranberries, or raspberries. It combines the tartness of the berries with the warm, spiced flavours typical of glögg.

    Gingerbread Glögg

Gingerbread glögg is a festive Scandinavian drink that combines the traditional spiced warmth of glögg with the rich, sweet flavour profile of gingerbread.

    Non-Alcoholic Glögg

Non-Alcoholic Glögg is made with grape juice or cranberry juice or dealcoholised wine and typically flavoured with cinnamon, cloves, and orange peel.
