Einar Willumsen is a modern mid-sized international flavour house with own in-house analytics, flavour creation and application departments, and production facilities for flavourings and compounds. Our core competencies include flavour creation, analytics, and applications across various industries.
We are looking for a passionate Flavourist or Junior Flavourist who will be part of the Flavour Creation team, working closely together with other flavourists, analytical chemists and laboratory technicians, under the support of a principal flavourist.
Role description
- Overall flavour development – R&D and new flavour creation
- Flavour formulation for different types of application (beverages, confectionery, bakery, dairy and others)
- Sensory evaluation
- Re-formulation of flavours depending on different requirements
- Flavour compounding and sample preparation
- Raw materials selection, testing and approval
- Stability-, solubility test and shelf-life evaluation
- Data collection and measurements
- Projects coordination and administration
- Sparring with application specialists
- Production upscaling and implementation of newly developed products
- Technical support and close cooperation with other departments and customers
Qualifications
- Flavourist education (Master’s degree) or Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field followed by flavourist training
- Experience in flavour creation and formulation
- Competencies in technical aspects of flavour composition and flavour development, including:
- Sensory Evaluation skills
- Research and Development (R&D) skills
- Laboratory Skills in a food-related setting
- Knowledge of food regulations and standards
- High level of creativity
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Being able to work fully independently but in close collaboration with team members and other departments
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
- Problem-solving mindset
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and drive to achieve goals
- Fluent in English

A full-time on-site role for a Flavourist/Junior Flavourist at Einar Willumsen in Brøndby Municipality in Denmark.
